Billie Fairclough

Billie Fairclough is an extreme cutting edge photographer based in Western Australia. Early in her career, she worked on Daily Newspapers. She took on a wide range of assignments, from union strikes to devastating bushfires, from America’s Cup celebrations to country living. She documented everything from royal visits to elections to high-profile court cases.

Freelancing in the newspaper industry,  Billie made a name for herself as a corporate and industrial photographer, specialising in the resources sector.
A member of the MEAA for the past 25years Billie has previously  been elected to represent photojournalists in WA.

She has enjoyed visiting offshore assets and recording progress on multi-billion dollar projects. She holds current HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) and FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training) tickets, ever conscious of the need for safety in order to deliver a sound result. Billie also has MSIC (Marine Security Indentification Card).

Billie’s career delivers many varied experiences and her desire to capture a scene in a fresh and thought-provoking way prevails. She remains focused on the delivery of images with impact.
